Security Restrictions on liquids and gel type substances at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA)
Effective August 1, 2007 MIAA (Manila International Airport Authority) has set new guidelines on carriage of Liquids, Aerosol and Gels (LAGs)
- Each container of liquids, aerosols or gels in your carry on baggage must be 100 milliliters or less. All the containers must be placed and sealed in a transparent, no greater than one-liter plastic bag approximately 20cm x 20cm. Passengers are allowed only one plastic bag each. Partially filled containers larger than 100 ml will not be accepted.
- Bags sealed with items such as sticky tape, rubber bands or ribbons will not be accepted these bags must be independently sealed.
- Prescription medicines, baby products and non-prescription medicines can be carried on board and are not subject to the 100 ml restriction though, proof of need may be required.
- Duty free items and drinks are allowed after passing the screening point for international flight.
- Passenger must declare plastic bag containing LAGs at the security screening.
- Passenger may also be required to undergo a frisk search
- Items over 100ml that are not allowed:
Any drink in cans/bottles/plastic containers
All cosmetic and toiletries
Fragrance/perfumes
Mascara
Toothpaste
All products in pressurized containers e.g. hairspray and shaving foam/gel/deodorant
Contact lens solution
Any liquid based food products in packets, tubes, plastics or tin container
Jams/syrup/sauces/paste/yoghurts/soup/stews
