The improved PerkChoice brings more flexibility, choice and rewards when booking travel with Cash and Miles.

  • PerkChoice lets you use your WorldPerks miles for one half of your roundtrip and cash for the other.
  • This program provides options for WorldPerks members to book travel if a PerkSaverSM award seat is available on only one way of a roundtrip.
  • WorldPerks members can use as few as 12,500 miles, and there are no time or date restrictions on any Northwest flights.

  • Mileage accrual - Earn WorldPerks miles on the paid portion of your itinerary
  • Elite upgrades - If you're a WorldPerks Elite member, you now receive complimentary First Class domestic upgrades on the paid portion of your itinerary
  • Mileage upgrades - Use your miles to upgrade to First Class on the paid portion of your itinerary
  • Changes - For a single processing fee, you can make changes to your itinerary or receive a refund

Terms and Conditions for bookings made on/after September 12, 2008:

  1. Tickets must be purchased online at nwa.com or through NWA Reservations at 1-800-44-PERKS (1-800-447-3757). Select the WorldPerks phone prompt. A $20 Reservations Direct Ticketing Charge will be applied to tickets purchased through NWA Reservations. This charge is refundable for initial tickets only, and requests for refunds must be provided by midnight of the day following the award ticket issuing. ECV, TCV, E-MCO, MCO, or Gift Certificates may not be used towards the purchase of a PerkChoice ticket.
  2. This offer is valid for roundtrip travel. Seats are limited and may not be available.
  3. Travel permitted on NW and KL flights operated by Northwest Airlines, Compass Airlines, Mesaba Airlines, Pinnacle Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and KLM Cityhopper except KL flights between Asia and Europe. Travel on SkyTeam partners and other partner airlines is only permitted on the award portion of the itinerary.
  4. WorldPerks miles must be redeemed with the paid fare to purchase the ticket. Tickets must be purchased at time of reservation with a valid credit card. Travel agency ticketing is not permitted.
  5. All tickets must be issued as e-tickets where applicable.
  6. There is no limit to the number of bookings allowed. Offer will not be honored retroactively or in connection with the exchange of any wholly or partially unused tickets.
  7. This offer may not be combined with any other coupon/certificate/discount/promo fare - also known as web fare, ticket designator, or reference code/bonus/ promotion/group travel/military/senior/companion/agency-industry discount/child/infant/free/no value/unpublished/student/ joint/tour/fares filed by rule/others specified by Northwest.
  8. WorldPerks miles will only be awarded on the paid portion of the itinerary.
  9. One-way travel/open segments/waitlisting/circle trips are not permitted. Standby is permitted on the award portion for NW-operated flights only.
  10. One open jaw per itinerary is permitted.
  11. WorldPerks Mileage Upgrades are only permitted on paid portion of ticket.
  12. Elite upgrades: The paid portion is permitted for all Elite tiers.
  13. E-First upgrades: Permitted on paid portion of ticket.
  14. All travel on the paid portion of the itinerary must be via the routes of NW/KL/CP/9E/XJ in which NW/KL publish fares. Travel on the award portion of the itinerary may also include travel on SkyTeam partners and other partner airlines.
  15. A processing fee applies for changes, refunds and/or mileage redeposits. For itineraries within North America or within Asia, the fee is $100 USD; for all other international itineraries the fee is $200 USD. WorldPerks Elite members are not exempt from this fee. Exception: The Customers First Refund rule applies. When reservations are made and tickets are purchased on the same day, refunds are permitted at no charge up to 1 day after tickets are purchased and mileage may be redeposited at no fee. The Call Center Ticketing Fee remains non-refundable for such refunds. Partially used tickets cannot be redeposited.
  16. All banked miles redeemed for this offer must have been earned by the same person under the same account.
  17. Additional restrictions may apply.

  13. Tickets are nonrefundable and value may not be applied towards tickets for future travel. Miles from wholly unused tickets may be redeposited within one year of originally scheduled outbound flight for a non-refundable fee of $50 USD per ticket. Platinum Elite members are exempt from the redeposit fee. Miles will be redeposited into the original mileage banking account. Exception: The Customers First Refund rule applies. When reservations are made and tickets are purchased on the same day, refunds are permitted at no charge up to 1 day after tickets are purchased and mileage may be redeposited at no fee. The Call Center Ticketing Fee remains non-refundable for such refunds. Partially used tickets cannot be redeposited.
  14. Once ticketed, origin and destination may not be changed. Flight/date changes prior to or after departure are permitted to the return portion of the ticket for a fee, provided the change meets all the provisions of this program including but not limited to booking class, minimum/ maximum stay and travel date requirements. For itineraries within North America or within Asia, change fee is $100 USD; for all other international itineraries the change fee is $200. A $50 USD mileage redeposit fee will also apply for changes. Platinum Elite are exempt from the redeposit fee.
  15. All banked miles redeemed for this offer must have been earned by the same person under the same account.
  16. Additional restrictions may apply.
