DENIED BOARDING AND SERVICE RECOVERY (ALL EXCEPT EE ECV/TCV) CREDIT VOUCHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS

For Document Numbers starting with 012 027

If redeemed as Dollar Amount ECV/TCV:

  1. Travel is permitted on any NW, KL or DL designated flights. This includes flights operated by NW Airlink and/or NW, KL, or DL Affiliate Partners. Other carriers must be ticketed separately at applicable fare, and this TCV has no applicability thereto
  2. To make reservations using your ECV receipt, visit nwa.com or call a NW reservations office. To make reservations using your paper TCV, call a NW reservations office or take this paper TCV to a NW airport ticket office and advise the agent that you have a TCV. Please have this ECV receipt or paper TCV with you when making reservations.
  3. ECV/TCVs are redeemable for travel commencing within one year of the ECV/TCV issue date. Travel must be completed within one year of ECV/TCV redemption date or within the validity of applicable fare rule used, whichever is most restrictive. Extensions will not be permitted.
  4. An ECV receipt does not need to be presented at time of ticket issuance but retain your receipt for reference when booking a reservation. You must present a paper TCV at time of ticket issuance. Once ticketed, penalties may apply for changes. Paper TCVs will be deemed fully used upon surrender and will not be honored retroactively.
  5. Only original TCVs will be accepted. ECVs/TCVs will not be replaced for any reason, including paper TCVs which are lost or stolen. Purchased/auctioned ECV/TCVs are subject to confiscation or voiding and travel will not be permitted.
  6. By redeeming the ECV/TCV, the individual named acknowledges the content of these Terms and Conditions and agrees to abide by them.
  7. If the value of an ECV is greater than the transportation purchased, the remaining value will be stored in our electronic database which may be used for the purchase of a future ticket. If the value of a TCV is greater than the transportation purchased, a nonrefundable/nontransferable Miscellaneous Charges Order (MCO) valid for travel on any NW, KL, or DL designated flights will be issued for the difference between the ticket price and the value of the discount indicated on this TCV. MCO will be issued in the name of the person specified on the original TCV.

If redeemed as Dollar Amount ECV/TCV:

  1. Travel is permitted on any NW/KL designated flights. This includes flights operated by NW Airlink and/or NW/KL Affiliate Partners. Other carriers must be ticketed separately at applicable fare, and this TCV has no applicability thereto.
  2. NW, KLM and travel agents may make reservations or issue tickets on NW 012 or KL 074 ticket stock against a paper TCV redeemed as Dollar Amount TCV. TCV may only be redeemed on nwa.com or by a Delta reservations or ticketing location.
  3. Reservations must be made per the applicable fare rule.
  4. This ECV/TCV document is not transferable. An ECV/TCV may be used by a different person as long as the original recipient is traveling with that person in the same reservation. An ECV/TCV may only be used by one person in a Reservation.
  5. ECV/TCVs may only be used toward the total purchase price of air transportation, including taxes, fees, and surcharges imposed on the air transportation.
  6. This ECV/TCV may not be combined with any other ECV/TCV(s). This ECV/TCV may be combined with a wholly unused ticket to purchase a new ticket provided the name on the ECV/TCV and the name on the wholly unused ticket are the same.
  7. If the value of an ECV is greater than the transportation purchased, the remaining value will be stored in our electronic database which may be used for the purchase of a future ticket. If the value of a TCV is greater than the transportation purchased, a nonrefundable/nontransferable Miscellaneous Charges Order (MCO) valid for travel on any NW/KL designated flights will be issued for the difference between the ticket price and the value of the discount indicated on this TCV. MCO will be issued in the name of the person specified on the original TCV.
  8. This ECV/TCV may be applied toward the NWA air portion of an air/land Delta Vacations® package.
  9. This ECV/TCV may not be honored when purchasing Prepaid Tickets, gift certificates or excess baggage charges, payments on account and/or ECVs programs.

If redeemed as Free Ticket:

  1. This ECV/TCV may be applied toward one free one-way, round-trip or open jaw ticket.
  2. Refer to the front of the ECV Receipt or the paper TCV for travel regions and carriers permitted.
  3. Tickets must be issued by NW on NW 012 ticket stock. Travel agents cannot make reservations or issue tickets against a ECV/TCV redeemed as a Free Ticket.
  4. Tickets must be issued within 24 hours of making the reservations.
  5. Once ticketed, changes are permitted for a fee of $100 USD, provided the new itinerary meets all provisions of this program.
  6. If ticketed round-trip and only used one-way, the return ticket/coupon will be void.
  7. Seats are limited and are not available on all flights. Note that you may not be able to obtain seats on your first choice flight(s). It is especially difficult to obtain Free Ticket seats for peak season/flights/date travel to/from most popular destinations.
  8. Open-jaw tickets and same day standby is permitted. Stopovers/circle trips/waitlists/open segments are not permitted. All travel must be via the routes of the permitted carriers on which they publish Coach Class fares or fit within the maximum permitted mileage.
  9. Any tax liability or other government-imposed fees are the responsibility of the user.
  10. Passenger must sign the nontransferable ECV/TCV at time of issuance. Passenger must provide identification at time of ticketing.
  11. Passengers will not earn mileage credit. This ECV/TCV and tickets issued against this ECV/TCV have zero cash value and cannot be refunded for any reason.
  12. Confirmed passengers traveling on the free ticket who are denied boarding will be issued another ECV or TCV as compensation. In the event of flight interruption, the passenger will not be eligible for rerouting on any other carrier at TCV expense.

If redeemed for SkyMiles bonus miles:

  1. Passenger must be a Delta SkyMiles member to qualify for bonus miles.
  2. You may redeem an Electronic Credit Voucher (ECV) for TCV bonus miles on nwa.com or by sending the ECV receipt to the SkyMiles Service Center, 601 Oak Street, Chisholm, MN 55719 USA. Customers in Japan and Asia may redeem the ECV on nwa.com/asia or by calling their local Delta Air Lines Reservations office. You may redeem a paper credit voucher (TCV) for SkyMiles bonus miles by sending the original voucher to the U.S. address above. Only original vouchers will be accepted. Vouchers cannot be replaced, are non-ECV/TCV and will not be extended beyond the expiration date. Bonus miles cannot be added to any other carrier's Frequent Flyer program.
  3. SkyMiles members may receive a maximum of one voucher per flight that is redeemable for SkyMiles bonus miles.
  4. Passengers who redeem an ECV for mileage on nwa.com will receive credit within two-three business days. Upon receipt of a paper bonus voucher by Delta, it will credit SkyMiles bonus miles to the appropriate SkyMiles account within 6-8 weeks. Miles will post as a bonus and will not count toward Medallion® qualification.
  5. This bonus voucher is void if sold, bartered or exchanged for compensation. Purchased vouchers are subject to confiscation, and passenger will not be awarded bonus.
  6. Please consult the SkyMiles Membership Guide for complete mileage accumulation terms and conditions. Delta may change the SkyMiles program rules, program partners, regulations, benefits, conditions of participation or mileage levels, in whole or in part, at any time with or without notice, even though changes may affect the value of mileage already accumulated. Award travel is subject to availability.

INTERNATIONAL PREMIUM SIGNIFICANT EVENT SERVICE RECOVERY (EE) ECV/TCV *ONLY* CREDIT VOUCHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS

If redeemed as Dollar Amount ECV/TCV or Free Ticket:

  2. Flights must be booked in A or D class. W class may be booked if A or D is not available.
  3. Valid for travel within the 48 contiguous U.S./Alaska OR between the 48 contiguous U.S./Alaska and Canada OR between the 48 contiguous U.S./Alaska/Canada and Mexico/Puerto Rico/Caribbean OR for travel between any two cities within Asia/Micronesia OR between 48 contiguous U.S./Canada/Alaska and Europe or Asia.
  4. Travel is permitted NW and KL designated flights that are operated by NW, Mesaba, Pinnacle, KLM, KLM TCV, Continental, and Continental Express.
  5. Tickets must be issued by NW on NW 012 ticket stock. Travel agents cannot make reservations or issue tickets against a ECV/TCV redeemed as a Free Ticket.
  6. Tickets must be issued within 24 hours of making the reservations.

ELECTRONIC CREDIT VOUCHER ISSUED FOR FARE REDUCTION (EMCO)

For Document Numbers starting with 012 028

  1. Electronic Credit Vouchers may be redeemed for future travel on Northwest, KLM or Delta on nwa.com or through Delta Reservations.
  2. Vouchers may be used only once. There will be no residual value if the voucher is of greater value than the purchase.
  3. Vouchers must be exchanged for travel or travel related items within one year of the date of issue of the EMCO. Extensions will not be permitted.
  4. Vouchers are non-transferable, non-refundable, have no cash value, and are void if sold or bartered.
  5. This voucher and any carriage covered by it are subject to the currently effective and applicable tariffs, conditions of carriage, rules and regulations of the issuer and of the carrier to whom it is directed and of any carrier performing carriage under the ticket or tickets issued in exchange for this voucher.
  6. Except as otherwise provided in its tariffs, conditions of carriage or rules and regulations, neither the issuer nor any carrier shall be liable to the purchaser or passenger named on the face hereof in the event of the loss or theft of this voucher or if it is honored when presented by any person other than the one named hereon.
  7. In issuing this voucher the issuer acts only as an Agent for the carrier furnishing the carriage described herein.
  8. This voucher is not valid unless properly validated by the issuer.
  9. The honoring office reserves the right to obtain authorization from the issuing office prior to honoring this voucher.
